Nathaniel "Doc" Johnson was born in Gibsland, Louisiana and is a graduate of
Grambling State University with a major in Biology and has done graduate work at Southern
University.
Doc Johnson has a genuine love for the teaching profession and throughout his
36 years of teaching in the Central Community, he had an impact that touched the young lives he
worked with on a daily basis. He influenced his students and taught them the skills they needed
to discover their dreams and to become productive citizens in their community. He served as
Athletic Trainer for 30 years. Doc retired
from the Central Community School System May 27, 2011.
Doc and his wife, Helen, have two children and three
grandchildren. Their son, Lathaniel, and daughter, Tiffany, both reside in Houston, Texas. He
is a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Baton
Rouge.
